The Ships on Stamps Unit studies this topical area of philately, from ancient one-man canoes and rafts to the biggest container freight vessels and fastest and most luxurious cruise liners of today. The study unit publishes the bimonthly Watercraft Philately journal for members, featuring articles about watercraft and the stamps that depict them.
