NEW ATA AWARDS FOR TOPICAL EXHIBITORS
In addition to the medals and ribbons that the American Topical
Association has offered in the past, the ATA is pleased to offer any US Stamp Show, a Topical
Novice Award card and a Topical Exhibitor Gift Offer card, to be used as an award for topical
exhibits. We will send needed cards if you request one or more for your upcoming stamp
exhibit. NOTE: THE RIBBONS AND MEDALS MUST STILL BE ORDERED FROM DON SMITH IN PENNSYLVANIA
(see enclosed order form). THE NEW CARDS MUST BE ORDERED FROM THE ATA CENTRAL OFFICE IN
TEXAS.
Topical Novice Award:
This award is for anyone who registers as a novice at your show and who has a Topical
Exhibit. More than one award can be handed out at each show. Additional cards will be sent
upon request. The winner will complete the information on the back of this card and mail it
to the ATA Central Office, whose address is shown on the front of the card. Upon receipt of
this card, the ATA will mail one of these handbooks to the novice at no charge.
Topical Exhibitor Special Gift Offer:
This award is for anyone who exhibits but has not yet garnered a Vermeil or Gold at a WSP
show. Cards may be given out to any and all exhibitors of a Topical Exhibit and mailed back
to the collectors with their exhibits. We will track the names of those to whom we give this
award and will not send duplicate books for later exhibiting at future shows as explained on
the face of the card. These cards are larger and will be sent upon request. More than one
of this card can be obtained for your next show as well.
These gifts are to encourage exhibiting and to help newer
collectors improve their exhibits using the exhibiting information contained in the handbook.
Stamp Exhibition officers may receive additional cards of either type upon request. For
example if you receive applications for 5 topical exhibits and two are novices, we will send
you a total of two Novice Awards and three Topical Exhibitor cards, excluding the ones
enclosed herein. Unused cards may be held for your following year’s show.
Awardees do not have to be members of the American Topical
Association in order to be awarded these books.
