POPE JOHN PAUL II COROS LECTURE AT W2006
The Collectors of Religion on Stamps Society (COROS) will have presence at Washington 2006,
the world philatelic exhibition to take place May 27-June 3, 2006, at the Washington, D.C.
Convention Center.
Arkadiusz Walinski, Vice-President of COROS, will present an illustrated lecture titled “Pope
John Paul II Postage Stamps of the World,” May 30th, Tuesday noon, in Room 149B, at the
Convention Center.
Arkadiusz Walinski compiled and translated the collection of “John Paul II Philately”
contained in The Pilgrim Pope under the authorship of Fr. Waldemar Chrostowski of
Warsaw, Poland.
Information on how to obtain a copy of this 596-page book in color, and/or Part I of an album
for all JPII stamps and souvenir sheets of the world will be available at the show. Ordering

Following the lecture will be the awarding of the 2006 COROS Founders Award to a
person/group that in the spirit of the Founders, has contributed significantly to the theme
of religion in philately in general -- by exhibiting, writing, publishing and other efforts
