ATA HAS PROSPECTUS READY FOR NATIONAL TOPICAL STAMP SHOW 2008
If you have a collection of postage stamps based around a special subject, or topic, the best chance you will have to win a
gold medal for exhibiting it may well be by entering it in the American Topical Association’s National Topical Stamp Show
2008 (NTSS ’08) all-topical exhibition. It is seldom that a topical exhibit wins top honors at most shows, however at the
NTSS the winning exhibits will all be topical in nature. The prospectus for this show, being held June 13-15, 2008 in
Portland , Oregon , is available now. Frames will be limited to 184 due to space limitations at the hotel, so an early
entry will guaranty a space to show your specialty in a level competitive playing field. The Prospectus is available from
the ATA – PO Box 57 – Arlington , TX 76004-0057 . An SASE would be appreciated but is not required.
Although the NTSS is billed as an all-topical exhibition, the dealers being invited represent specialists in US, British,
Postal History, and other non-topical philately, in addition to topicals. There will be something for everybody at this
show. This year's show theme will be Discovery and Exploration. A Foreign First Day of Issue is being planned to take
place on Friday of this event.
The ATA obtained group pricing for tours on the Thursday before each show as well as the Monday following, so that
attendees have a chance to visit Oregon ’s scenic highlights for a minimum of cost and efforts. The planned tours will be
announced later but readers may request to be informed when the tours are formally announced, or they may be found posted
to the ATA website –
