Presentation
If you read an array of articles and handbooks on how to lay out an album
page, you will find a variety of advice, some of which will conflict. If
you are blessed with a good sense of design, this part of your topical-collecting
experience will be simple and even fun. If you struggle with good design,
you should seek out as much advice as you can find, and then sort through
it to see what works for you.
Do some research in addition to asking your stamp-collecting friends
for advice
- Review books on basic layout at your local library
- Not advertising layout in some of the glossy magazines
- Attend stamp shows and spend a lot of time reviewing the layout of
individual pages that catch your eye. Take a sketch pad (many/most stamp
shows prohibit photos of the exhibits) and take notes.
