any thought of what interest they may be to stamp collectors. Covers
prepared specifically to be of interest to collectors are known as
Philatelic Covers.

Corner
Cards are the return address appearing in the upper left corner of a
cover. After the mid-19 th century, envelopes began to be imprinted
with advertising for various goods and services.
Patriotic
Covers feature a patriotic motif, by way of text or illustration or
both. They developed during the American Civil War and were used by
friends of both sides of the conflict.
