ATA AUDIO VISUAL SLIDE OR DVD SHOW
RENTAL AND SALES PROGRAMS

The ATA now has some of its Slide Shows on DVDs and available for rent or sale, worldwide. More being prepared on a regular basis.

Click here to go to the online video library

How to Book Slide Show programs:

Please complete the order form. Furnish as many as three meeting dates with up to five (5) program choices for each date. Please include your email address, or include a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope. A confirmation will be sent to you ASAP. Please expect secondary choices in some few cases.

Print the Audio/Visual Order Form as a PDF file. The file contains this entire page, including the list of available DVDs and slide shows. For rentals of slide shows only, furnish as many as three meeting dates with up to five (5) program choices total. Send it to the address shown in the form. Please include your email address, or include a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope. A confirmation will be sent to you ASAP. Please expect secondary choices in some few cases. DVD instructions are different and included in the next single paragraph. All other information below deals with Slide Shows.

Fees For Slide Shows

If the programs are booked at least two months in advance, a payment of $5.00 per program must accompany your request. If bookings are made less than two months in advance, please add another $2.00 per program to offset the costs of sending the programs by first class mail. No bookings can be accepted less than 30 days in advance. Programs are normally sent by Library Rate, about $2.00 today, and are insured for $50.00 for another $1.60. These are, of course, subject to change. Programs can be sent first class if appropriate postage and insurance fees are paid in advance.

At this time the slide programs are intended for use by ATA Members as well as other interested parties in the fifty states and Puerto Rico. We cannot honor foreign requests for slide shows but we can sell our DVDs to those overseas who are interested. See DVDs below.

Returning Slide Programs

Please complete the questionnaire form included with each program and return it with all the slides, script sheets and audio cassettes (if included) within a day following the showing. Please use the enclosed mail label. Note that it is not a prepaid label.

You must pay the library rate and the insurance fee for the value of $50.00. Please keep in mind that the normal time it takes the package to be sent within the continental US is ten days. Late returns will be assessed a $3.00 penalty as some other club may miss getting the program if you are late.

DVDs

Several slide shows have been converted to DVDs. In the Slide Programs list (below) they are flagged with an "X" in the "DVD AVAIL." column, indicating that they are now completed and ready for sale or rental. In addition, there is a DVD List at the bottom of the page. DVDs include spoken dialogue and have been created from our slide shows (Endangered Species was traded to the ATA by the South African Thematic Society). DVDs are for rent at $5.00 each, plus $1 postage, or for sale at $10.00 each ($8 to ATA membners), plus postage. Special computer playback information will be sent with each.

Payment

We accept MasterCard and Visa Credit Cards, or you can pay with a check or money order in US funds, drawn on a US Bank. We also accept PayPal and you can send your request to americantopical@msn.com. Please send your order to: American Topical Association - PO Box 8, Carterville, IL 62918-0008; Phone: 618-985-5100; Fax: 618-985-5131.

Returning Rented DVDs

Please complete the questionnaire that is enclosed with the DVD and return via regular mail protected by cardstock with a note stating: "Please Do Not Bend" written on the outside of the packet.

A Few Friendly Suggestions

We will include a few copies of the ATA membership forms with each program sent. Please hand these out personally to others in your club who are not ATA members. Remember that you can qualify for a discount in your dues by getting new members to join the ATA. We are always looking for new programs as well as updating old ones. Many of our programs are quite old. We invite you to submit your proposal and offer the finished program as a contribution to the ATA. It is less expensive to make multiple copies than to copy slides later.

Show times vary, but as a rule, allow one 30 seconds to a minute per slide. Audiotape use may shorten programs. Thank you for using the ATA Slide Program Service. Address any questions to ddengel@verizon.net .
